Kings of Leon - Only by the Night

The three brothers from Tennessee have done it again. Kings of Leon continue entertaining their audiences with their fourth album. Only by the Night dropped last month and these boys have a good sound going for them. They move from the ambiance of a dream sequence to the more common rock feel we are used to hearing from Kings of Leon

The opening song, “Closer,” sets the mood of the album with a dreamy sequence opening in total instrumental. It leaves the listener wondering how the rest of the album is going to sound, but once the lyrics get going we are brought back to reality.

Really moving up the pace of the album, “Sex on Fire” reaffirms the Kings’ rock sounds. The riffs get tighter and the drums become more prevalent than earlier in the album. This is the music we expect from these rockers, a complete sound.
