Every year, CHIPS strives to provide the Luther community with a high-quality, respectable newspaper. Achieving this aim requires responsible journalism, creative design, meticulous editing, and a unified desire for integrity.

CHIPS exists as a forum for campus news and opinion, and aims to be a voice for the entire Luther community.It is also an environment in which Luther students can learn journalism, photojournalism, design, publishing and marketing while they work. CHIPS is also Luther College’s newspaper of record; a primary source of current information and future historical research.

Effectively fulfilling each of these roles within the Luther community requires the CHIPS staff to be hard-working, tightly-bonded and driven by our desire to be respected by our readers. This year, the CHIPS staff achieved its aims. We are proud to reflect upon a successful year, and do not hesitate to call it CHIPS’ best year yet.

From our humble office to wherever you are reading this paper, the CHIPS staff thanks you for the role you’ve played in making this paper a success. CHIPS would not exist as it does without its faithful and contributing readership.
