Pete Russella

Q: What’s your major?
A: Psychology and French.

Q: What do you plan to do after graduation?
A: Teach English at l’Université de la Bretagne Occidentale in Brest, France.

Q: What’s your favorite Luther memory?
A: Tie between playing the 2009 Showcase Concert for LCCB right after we cancelled our tour and being on the air on KWLC when the Luther flood started.

Q: What will you miss most about Luther?
A: Sitting on the Campus House porch.

Q: What’s something no one knows about you?
A: I used to be a really mediocre hockey player. And my beard is glued on.

Q: Who’s your hero?
A: Brandon Reed.

Q: What’s your major?
A: Elementary Education with a Music minor.

Q: What’s your favorite Luther memory?
A: The Chateau.

Q: Any advice for incoming first-years?
A: There’s more to college than good grades.

Q: What’s something no one knows about you?
A: I can sleep just about anywhere.

Q: Who’s your hero?
A: My mom. She’s an awesome, strong person whom I’ve looked up to all my life.

Q: What have you been a part of while at Luther?
A: Choir, intramural sand volleyball, PALS and APO.

A: Management.

Q: What’s your plan after graduation?
A: Find a job in the Twin Cities or Iowa City.

Q: What will you miss most about Luther?
A: Saturday afternoons playing football at Carlson Stadium and being able to take walks whenever I want.

Q: Any advice for first-years?
A: Double major and find an internship.

Q:What’s something nobody knows about you?
A: [Laughs]. I was the one that fell out of my bed freshmen year.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote?
A: “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen,” Michael Jordan.

Q: What’s your plan after graduation?
A: I’m going to be the program director of Camp Wapsie for the summer, then do Public Relations and Marketing for my dad’s car dealerships in Cedar Rapids.

Q: Who are your heroes?
A: My parents. Is that cliche? But, it’s true. They are a great team.

Q: What’s your favorite quote?
A: “When things start to happen, don’t worry, don’t stew, just go right along, you’ll start happening, too,” Dr. Seuss.

Q: What were you involved in while at Luther?
A: I was the President and many other things in SAC, Student Senate, PALs and being a number one fan of Marci Furlong and Kayla Denner.

A: Music Education.

Q:What’s your favorite Luther memory?
A: Singing with Nordic Choir in Madrid, Spain.

Q: What will you miss about Luther?
A: The genuine nature of people in the Luther community.

Q: What’s something nobody knows about you?
A: Our cat didn’t kill my sister’s goldfish in 1995. I did.

A: Will Schuster.

A: Nordic Choir, Ultimate Frisbee and Habitat for Humanity.
